Please tell us more about E-nno

E-nno was founded in 2018 with a mission to accelerate the energy transition of real estate portfolios through new technologies and expertise in data management. The company, which has 14 employees, has established itself as a key player in 5 years for ambitious property owners who want to track and optimize their buildings.

Tell us more about your plans for 2023. What is your long-term vision?

By 2023, we will develop new verticals based on the data architecture and IoT technologies that we have been developing in recent years. We have ongoing projects with major energy players in Switzerland, and our offering will be adapted to different players in order to increase the number of buildings we manage.

What has been the biggest success that you have achieved in your startup?

We have received the “+1000 Efficient Solutions for Climate” label from the Solar Impulse Foundation and established agreements with the three largest real estate funds in the French-speaking part of Switzerland.

If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently? What are your biggest learnings?

Given that our offer has gained real traction in the market, we could have raised funds to accelerate our development instead of relying on organic growth.

What motivates you to continue your business every day?

The team has developed strong skills in recent years and has collected a large amount of data to date, which gives us many avenues for development. Innovation is ingrained in our DNA, which motivates us every day to improve the energy performance of buildings and to contribute, on our scale, to the fight against climate change.

One piece of advice for someone who is just starting out with their startup?

Don’t delay facing the market while waiting for the perfect product. It’s by being in tune with the market that you can steer your business in the right direction.

What does it mean to you to be a member of the Swiss Startup Association? 

Being part of an ecosystem of entrepreneurs who have gone through similar challenges is always stimulating. I am delighted that such associations exist to support projects in Switzerland, a country where the status of a startup is not often recognized.
