A clear definition is essential – not just for classification, but for targeted support

But while “scaleup” is used everywhere, it’s rarely defined in a way that reflects your reality. Without a clear definition, identifying and supporting high-growth ventures becomes a guessing game. That’s why the Swiss Startup Association created a definition tailored to the Swiss ecosystem and aligned with global standards. Swiss Startup Association's Scaleup Chapter gains momentum

The rapid growth of the SSA Scaleup Chapter has also been recognised across the Swiss startup ecosystem. In November 2025, Startupticker highlighted the chapter’s launch, its growing community of more than 140 executives, and its mission to address the unique challenges of later-stage startups through peer learning, strategic networking, and political advocacy.
