Please give some more details of your startup story: what was the “aha” moment that led to the idea for your startup?
I had so many ideas and so much energy that I just couldn’t sit still anymore. So, I swapped the desk job for my own thing. Since then, I’ve been able to unleash my creativity and truly express myself. Where this journey will lead? Honestly, even I’m curious to find out!
So, what’s next for you—what’s a bold goal you’re chasing right now?
I’m on a mission to make intrapreneurship a core culture for future-ready organizations. I empower leaders and teams to adopt entrepreneurial mindsets as a survival tool for constant change. My goal is to connect people, track market trends, and share ideas and visions that help others grow and succeed.
Which decision (big or small) had the most unexpected positive impact on your startup?
I don’t maintain my network strategically, but out of genuine curiosity and interest. A key decision I made early on was to always stay authentic. People I’ve worked with have recommended me to others, which has led to exciting projects and collaborations that helped move my startup forward.
How did you build your team, and what helps you maintain your startup culture?
Freedom is very important to me. As a solo entrepreneur, I stay fast and flexible. For each project, I carefully select the right partners to collaborate with. This way, I can adapt to different requirements while maintaining my independence.
If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently? What are your biggest learnings?
If I could do it again, I’d definitely position myself more clearly from the start to move forward with greater focus. Sounds silly, but having founded before and being self-employed for 10 years, I’ve already stepped into plenty of puddles… so honestly, no huge learning shocks yet!
Building a startup requires resilience, how do you stay focused during tough times?
I stay focused by working on projects I’m truly passionate about and enjoy. Sharing my ideas and energy keeps me motivated. Being solo also means fewer heavy responsibilities, so I can stay flexible and navigate challenges with ease.
One piece of advice for someone who is just starting out with their startup?
Follow your gut feeling, experiment, and nurture your network. Focus on the people who push you forward and help you grow. Connect with like-minded individuals and don’t wait for everything to be perfect before going to market. Be brave, don’t fear mistakes, taking action early accelerates learning and progress.
What’s your outlook on the future of the Swiss startup scene, and how can it compete internationally?
Switzerland has great know-how, strong organizations, and valuable networks that we should actively use and grow together. By learning from each other, staying open and courageous, watching trends, and embracing collaboration beyond borders, we can strengthen the startup scene and compete internationally.
What value do you see in being part of the Swiss Startup Association?
It’s inspiring to observe and support other startups. Having the chance to exchange ideas and experiences creates mutual motivation and valuable connections. Being part of this community allows us to learn from one another, share challenges and successes, and grow together.
Is there anything else you would like to share with the community?
Know your strengths and weaknesses. Follow your gut, experiment, learn, be brave, and follow your own path. Collaborate, network, and seize the opportunities of this modern world. And above all: enjoy what you do.
