Meet Son Nguyen, Founder and CEO of Consolitech Switzerland Ltd

Please tell us about Consolitech Switzerland Ltd

We founded Consolitech Switzerland Ltd. back in April 2022 with the idea of helping people to manage their personal wealth. Through smart and easy-to-use digital solutions, we aim to provide them with the necessary tools to regain control of their financial journey. Our team currently consists of six members (incl. part-time colleagues). 

Tell us more about your plans for 2023? What is your long-term vision?

For 2023, we aim to reach product-market-fit and product launch for the broad market. For this goal, we will raise a pre-seed round in order to invest into product development, the team and partnerships. With this, we aim to lay the foundation of democratizing family office like services for ordinary people and hence provide access to holistic financial advisory to everyone. Our vision is to accompany each person on his journey toward financial well-being and hence contributing to overall wealth equality.

What has been the biggest success that you have achieved in your startup?

We’re proud to have assembled a committed and complimentary founding team.

If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently? What are your biggest learnings?

Set clear goals for team members early and discuss progress regularly, while preparing feasible contingency plans. Get the right people, internal and external, early on board. Don’t underestimate time and plan finances accordingly.

What motivates you to continue your business every day?

Exploring ideas and establishing business with team and partners, seeing progress, making my own decisions (and taking responsibility for it) and ultimately a steep personal learning curve

One piece of advice for someone who is just starting out with their startup?

Get the right people on board and communicate expectations clearly. Discuss and share your ideas early enough with trustworthy people in your network in order to get valuable feedback. Build relationships with potential clients, investors, and partners constantly.

What does it mean to you to be a member of the Swiss Startup Association?

Personal growth, thanks to learning offerings and courses which I attended. Professionally, I was able to expand my business network.

Would you recommend joining the Swiss Startup Association? 

Absolutely! It’s a very proactive association which provides a variety of benefits for startups, incl. learning offerings, startup deals, events and that whole package for a very reasonable membership fee.

Have you ever visited the events of the Swiss Startup Association? If yes, which ones? Would you recommend them?

Yes, the Founders’ Dinner. It was good for networking with like-minded startup founders, but less so for enjoying business presentations and keynote speeches (it was too loud and too crowded as there was no stage for the speakers).
