Tell us about Snaption

Snaption helps manufacturers reduce costs and improve efficiency by using data from machines and equipment. Our platform, DigiFactor, connects quickly to any machine, HMI, or IT system to provide accurate analytics, detect anomalies, and deliver reliable forecasts. It supports monitoring and control of production, quality, and energy use, as well as reporting and maintenance.

Snaption was founded in February 2024 by a team of 4 former researchers and engineers, driven by the will to bring digital innovation into SME operations. The founders transformed their shared expertise into a business, aiming to bridge the gap between advanced technology and real-world SME needs. Today, Snaption is growing as a lean and dynamic company, committed to helping SMEs embrace digital transformation effortlessly.

Tell us more about your plans for 2024 and what is your long-term vision.

Snaption aims to expand its presence in Switzerland, supporting more companies in bridging the gap in their production system digitalization. It will continue enhancing DigiFactor with new features, striving to provide the most user-friendly platform for seamlessly integrating data from any machine to drive efficient and sustainable production systems.

What has been the biggest success that you have achieved in your startup?

Our biggest success was securing our first industrial partnership, which validated our solution and highlighted real-world needs. The second milestone was the release of DigiFactor v2, adding production monitoring, control charts, energy tracking, and AI-based anomaly detection. Becoming Boldbrain Accelerator finalists and receiving Innosuisse Initial coaching also rank among our proudest achievements.

If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently? What are your biggest learnings?

If starting again, we would engage customers earlier for direct feedback. We are surrounded by buzz about AI and automation, but often companies have simpler needs requiring straightforward digital solutions with huge benefits. Our biggest lesson: simplicity, rapid deployment, scale, and real business impact matter most.

What motivates you to continue your business every day?

Everyday, we are driven by the challenge of making advanced technology simple and practical for manufacturers. Transforming innovation into easy-to-use products that deliver real benefits inspires us. Our passion for technology and the ambition to build a successful business fuel our journey.

One piece of advice for someone who is just starting out with their startup?

Embrace uncertainty and take action. Being an entrepreneur means making decisions with incomplete information, adapting quickly, and learning from failures. Trust your vision, stay resilient, and surround yourself with the right people. Success comes from persistence, not perfection, keep pushing forward, even when the path is not clear.

Being a member of the Swiss Startup Association means being part of a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem that fosters innovation, collaboration, and growth.
