Tell us about OOMNIUM

The OOMNIUM platform was launched in May 2023. After successfully establishing ourselves as one of the leading Swiss equity crowdfunding platforms with a focus on B2C companies, we’re now expanding our offering to include B2B by enabling private funding rounds. Our team consists of six experienced professionals with backgrounds in fintech, fundraising, marketing, and community building.

Tell us more about your plans for 2025 and what is your long-term vision

Billions of Swiss Francs flow into startups each year, yet there’s no central platform offering a standardized, transparent, and fully digital fundraising process. That’s where OOMNIUM steps in—creating value for both startups seeking growth capital and for investors looking for curated opportunities.

What has been the biggest success that you have achieved in your startup?

In our first 18 months, we supported 15 startups in raising a total of 13 million Swiss Francs from 10,000 investors.

If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently? What are your biggest learnings?

Equity crowdfunding is a compelling and complementary way to raise capital—especially for B2C companies. However, some of the most exciting investment opportunities lie in the B2B space. As a two-sided platform, we’ve learned the importance of equally focusing on the investor side—not just enabling companies to raise capital, but also delivering high-quality, compelling investment opportunities to our community.

What motivates you to continue your business every day?

Our success rate—and the impact we see. It’s incredibly rewarding to help startups close funding rounds and to watch how the process itself helps elevate their businesses. With the addition of private rounds, we’re now even more closely involved in their growth journeys. And it’s just as motivating to hear from investors who share testimonials about why they believe in the companies, missions, and founders they’ve backed.

One piece of advice for someone who is just starting out with their startup?

People over product. Team over business case. Your business will likely evolve and pivot, but your founding team—those who own shares and shape the company—will be with you throughout the journey. Choose them wisely.

What does it mean to you to be a member of the Swiss Startup Association?

It’s an honor to be part of SSA—an organization that brings together diverse people and ideas, all united by a similar mindset and a willingness to support each other.

Would you recommend joining the Swiss Startup Association? Why?

Absolutely. Just like having the right internal team is essential, so is having strong external partners. SSA plays a key role in helping startups gain traction and grow their network.

Have you ever attended events by the Swiss Startup Association? If yes, which ones? Would you recommend them?

Yes, I’ve attended several events. The most recent was the SSA Founders Dinner X-Mas Edition at Kraftwerk—which I really enjoyed.
