Meet Alessandro Pizzoferrato, CEO & Founder of chainstaff

Please tell us about chainstaff

chainstaff revolutionizes hiring by leveraging human networks to increase job ad visibility and reduce costs. Our community-driven platform combines traditional recruitment strengths with modern technology, offering a scalable, cost-efficient solution for finding top talent and rewarding job sharing.

Founded in December 2023, chainstaff emerged from a vision to revolutionize recruitment. We identified inefficiencies in traditional hiring and created a platform leveraging human networks for cost-effective, scalable hiring solutions. Our team of three combines deep tech and HR expertise to drive innovation and growth.

Tell us more about your plans for 2024 and what is your long-term vision.

Since we recently launched our prototype, the team at chainstaff are currently working on further developing our solution and launching a fully functional minimum viable product (MVP). The MVP process brings its own set of challenges, primarily revolving around balancing speed and quality. One major challenge is ensuring that the core features are robust enough to meet user needs while still allowing for rapid iteration and improvement. We are addressing this by implementing rigorous testing protocols and gathering continuous feedback from early users.

Another challenge is maintaining a clear focus on our long-term vision while being adaptable to changes based on market and user feedback. To tackle this, we are fostering a flexible development environment and emphasising close collaboration within our team and with our stakeholders. By strategically managing these challenges, we aim to deliver an MVP that not only showcases our innovation but also lays a solid foundation for future enhancements and growth.

Our long-term vision is to become the leading global job-sharing platform, leveraging new technology to create a transparent, efficient, and rewarding recruitment ecosystem for all stakeholders.

What has been the biggest success that you have achieved in your startup?

At chainstaff we view every step taken, whether up or down, as a success in itself. From securing a grant from Innovation Booster – Blockchain Nation to onboarding 80 early adopters, each milestone and challenge propels us forward in our mission to revolutionise recruitment.

If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently?

If we could start over, we’d focus more on prioritising urgent tasks and not losing sight of our core mission. Our biggest learning is the importance of maintaining focus amidst numerous demands, ensuring we tackle what truly drives us forward and leave other tasks for later stages.

What motivates you to continue your business every day?

I love the fast-paced startup life, constantly striving to make a difference. It’s challenging, but working with passion for something I truly believe in gives me immense energy and purpose. Each day brings new opportunities to innovate and push boundaries, fueling my motivation.

One piece of advice for someone who is just starting out with their startup?

Even though we’re at the beginning of our entrepreneurial journey, my advice to everyone is to go for it. Many people just talk about ideas and dreams, but if you truly want something to become a reality, take the leap and make it happen. Embrace the journey, learn from every step, and stay committed to your vision.

What does it mean to you to be a member of the Swiss Startup Association?

Being part of the Swiss Startup Association connects me with like-minded individuals facing similar challenges, offering the possibility to learn from each other and share experiences. They also offer their members a supportive community, fresh perspectives, and inspiration, both personally and professionally, enhancing our journey and fostering growth through shared experiences.

Would you recommend joining the Swiss Startup Association? Why?

Absolutely, but everyone should make their own experience. For us at chainstaff, networking is key to our success. The Swiss Startup Association helps us connect with the right people, making it a win-win situation. It’s a valuable resource for growth and collaboration.

Have you ever visited the events of the Swiss Startup Association? If yes, which ones? Would you recommend them?

Not yet, as I’m a new member, but I plan to attend upcoming events. I’ve heard great things about them and believe they offer valuable networking and learning opportunities. I would recommend other members take advantage of these events to connect and grow their startups.
