Quuote.me is a shipping platform founded by Didier Wittmer. The startup specializes in connecting with major freight carriers such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS, Aramex, offering more than 250+ courier services. The platform, fully operational since November 2023, provides discounted shipping rates of up to 70%, depending on the routes. Quuote.me is integrated with e-commerce and marketplace platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, eBay, and Walmart.

The team at Quuote.me consists of 3 coders, 1 marketing professional, and the founder, Didier Wittmer, who holds a Freight Forwarder diploma. Didier Wittmer has a background in running a Freight Forwarding company in Switzerland and Singapore for 15 years before selling the business. The startup was founded to address the logistics needs of businesses, leveraging Didier’s extensive experience in the industry.

Tell us more about your plans for 2024? What is your long-term vision?

In 2024, Quuote.me aims to expand its services to encompass e-commerce companies and seek potential investors (by e-Commerce vendors) to support the growth of our business. Our objective is to establish a presence in the US, enabling us to cater to customers in the European, Asian, and US markets within the e-commerce sector.

What has been the biggest success that you have achieved in your startup?

To date, our startup’s most significant achievement has been the development of an advanced platform with minimal staffing and without any initial investments. The team has demonstrated remarkable dedication and effort over the months.

If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently? What are your biggest learnings?

I would not alter the approach we have taken in developing our platform so far as we are staying true to our objectives. As someone with a background in logistics, I’ve come to understand that while IT and coding share a logical aspect with logistics, they do not abide by the same timeframe as logisticians working in the shipping industry 🙂

What motivates you to continue your business every day?

We are driven by the desire to comprehensively explore every facet of this development and contribute added value to numerous entities, including startups, e-commerce businesses, and even well-established companies, which often lack advanced technological solutions.

One piece of advice for someone who is just starting out with their startup?

Trust in you, trust in your project, and don’t give up.

What does it mean to you to be a member of the Swiss Startup Association?

Participating in the Swiss Startup Association involves the exchange of ideas, addressing concerns, and mutual assistance, all aimed at fostering collective success.
