Please tell us more about TakTime

Taktime is a Food Tech startup, running as an intelligent network of smart kitchens operating in Switzerland, providing complete cooking and delivery services for existing food brands and restaurants.

At Taktime, we are on a mission to make delivery meals faster, cheaper, better and more sustainable. We successfully launched our operations last year and have currently 24 staff based out of Geneva.

We have created Taktime to disrupt the delivery market in Switzerland by leveraging on data and technologies in order to significantly improve the overall food delivery experience.

Tell us more about your plans for 2023. What is your long-term vision?

1. Develop our network of kitchens in Geneva by partnering with existing. We want to enhance our business value proposition by leveraging on under utilized kitchen spaces across cities. Not only it will help restaurants generate additional revenue, its also offers an opportunity for Taktime to accelerate our growth.

2. Expand our business beyond Geneva, across Switzerland with the same business model as the one deployed in Geneva

3. Implement our technology roadmap so we can quickly deliver tangible benefits to our  clients in terms of client experience (e.g. cheaper and faster delivery, more premium food etc.)

Our ambition is to become the leading premium smart/cloud kitchen in Switzerland and in continental Europe. Supported by our own end-to-end food delivery solution, we want to offer to our clients innovative and high-quality food options.

What has been the biggest success that you have achieved in your startup?

Our biggest success to date is having validated our business model after only 9 months of operations. Since December 2022,  both of our kitchens in Geneva have been profitable and we have reached CHF 1m ARR.

If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently? What are your biggest learnings?

What a great question! I would have implemented a better customized ERP and CRM system  sooner. Tracking your internal and clients’ data is critical to better understand who we are as a company and  who our customers are.

What motivates you to continue your business every day?

Seeing my business growing, meeting new people and enhancing my knowledge everyday in  various fields like technology and marketing.

One piece of advice for someone who is just starting out with their startup?

It is key to have a good business plan in place, well documented and backed up by some key partners.

What does it mean to you to be a member of the Swiss Startup Association? 

Personally, being part of this prestigious circle in Switzerland is an honor and a great recognition  of our hard work. Professionally, It’s a privilege to be part of Swiss startup ecosystem and a great occasion to  participate in one of the world best innovation startup hub.

Would you recommend joining the Swiss Startup Association?

Yes – I’m a pretty new member but I believe it is a good platform to network with other startup founders and get more information related to potential investors.
